Tooborac Rabbit Ramble

So you think your rabbit dish is the best? Well, here's your chance to prove it at the annual Tooborac Rabbit Cook-off.

This community event is held at the Tooborac Hall (on the Northern Hwy) and it is where you get to show off your culinary prowess. Judged by a panel of rabbit connoisseurs, entries are scored on presentation, taste, texture and imagination (the X factor) with the winners receiving an engraved chef's knife (home-cook category) and a locally made bread board (professional category). At the conclusion of the judging, everyone sits down to share their entry with friends and fellow contestants (contestants are required to cook enough for six people).

Non-competing visitors are welcome to attend the cook-off. Visitors are encouraged to enter the table setting competition.

The Tooborac Rabbit Ramble is a non-profit event with all proceeds donated to a worthy local cause.

The 2011 Tooborac Rabbit Ramble will be held on Sunday 23 October. Entry forms can be downloaded on the Next Event page.
